Caring for your jewellery

A few simple habits keep every piece brilliant for generations.

Everyday habits

Last on, first off Put jewellery on after perfume, lotion and hairspray, and take it off first.
Remove for activity Take rings off for the gym, swimming, cleaning and gardening.
Store separately Keep pieces in their pouch or a lined box so diamonds do not scratch gold.
Avoid chemicals Chlorine and household cleaners can dull metal and loosen settings.

Cleaning at home

For diamond and gold jewellery (not pearls or emeralds).

  1. 1 Soak

    Soak for 15 minutes in warm water with a few drops of mild dish soap.

  2. 2 Brush

    Gently brush with a soft toothbrush, especially behind the stones.

  3. 3 Rinse & dry

    Rinse in clean water and pat dry with a lint-free cloth.

Professional care

Visit us once a year for a free check of prongs and settings, and a professional clean and polish. White gold can be re-plated with rhodium to restore its bright finish.
